About Coding
My name is Christiaan Ottow. Among other things, I'm a programmer and a student of Computer Security living in Hengelo, the Netherlands. I work freelance beside my study, and spend a lot of time educating myself on programming, security, networking concepts etc.
What I do
My work consists mainly of designing and programming web applications. I've been professionally active in web applications since 2001, and have used a variety of languages, tools and frameworks. My points of focus are usability, extensible clean architecture and security. I don't like doing the same thing twice, I always try to put something new into my work.
Furthermore, I administrate some servers I've setup, running different web services. I enjoy thinking about and experimenting with computer security related concepts and tools, and finding ways to integrate and simplify different aspects of hosting (see the services section).
